Written in response to the Drabble Challenge - key word -Graveyard
“Fine, I'm fine.” I just wake up shaking and sweating every single night.
“Exercise? Did a mile yesterday. No problem.” I feel that damn bullet bite. I hear the milk bottles break. I see the mingled spray of white and red.
“Yeah, getting right bored at home now.” And I see her eyes. So big, so dark...so deadly.
“Why should I be worried about anything? S'like I told Bodie, dying'll be easier next time.” And I'll be doing it double quick if I can't even pick up a gun without shaking.
“So doc, when do I get signed off, then?”
