This is Talis' debut solo album and was launched with a transatlantic tour.
Joules said of this gifted and dedicated songwriter "Talis calls her music 'Urban Wardrobe'... it's a perfect description. Come in and rummage for a while. Each song is distinctive... beautiful voice, strong, clear and passionate. Her songs have the extraordinary ability to touch parts of your soul you usually keep hidden."
Supported by the Mythical Beasts (John Jones, Tim Walker and Simon Fairbourn) plus guest musicians playing a wide variety of instruments, mostly accoustic, Talis' lyrics range from the everyday minutae of life to the grand themes of eternal mythology.
Folksy, lively, melodic, haunting, reflective, and always interesting, imaginative, incisive and memorable.
Joules makes her guest appearance at the beginning of the title track, but unless you knew which voice is hers, her contribution is hard to identify. And the family collie dog Quyn (1993 - 2007) features at the moody culmination of track two.
